How a Concrete Septic Tank Works
Simple, effective wastewater treatment that keeps solids contained and prevents clogs.
Primary Treatment & Solids Separation
Wastewater enters the inlet baffle. Heavier solids settle as sludge; grease and oils float as scum. Anaerobic bacteria begin breaking down organic matter in the first chamber.
Clarification
Partially treated effluent flows to the second compartment through the outlet baffle. Additional settling removes suspended solids before discharge to the drain field.
Outlet to Drain Field
The outlet pipe carries treated wastewater toward the drain field for soil-based treatment and final processing.
Solids Stay Inside
This flow path keeps solids contained within the tank, reducing risk of clogs and sewage backup in your system.
